We so love a family photo, especially at the newborn session… and Katie’s family are a special one indeed.

I was excited that when I asked Katie to bring with her any special things that baby has, to add something personal to the photos, she responded affirmatively with a ‘yes, no problem’. Usually I am quizzed and probed for ideas, at which point I’d suggest perhaps a special blanket, something to do with mummy or daddy’s profession or hobby, or a billion other things, that can all make for a great shot.

When Kate arrived, I was touched to find she had brought with her two bears that belonged to Caitlyn, from her late nanny, Katie’s mum, Rose. She also had a beautiful picture of a smiling Rose, all glammed up and looking amazing, to include in the photos somehow. We chatted all day throughout the session, and there were a few tears (Katie during, and me after the session had finished) but this brave young lady and her fab partner Marc have the most perfect, beautiful little family and I just know mum would be super proud.

What a sweet little man! Anthony was super friendly during his session. Lots of eye contact and little smiles, a calm, sweet nature and some of the funniest, loveliest expressions we’ve seen.

He didn’t want to sleep at first… which allowed us to get plenty of wide awake shots of this curious little dude.

Congratulations mummy and daddy – he’s gorgeous!

This gorgeous girl with her pretty red hair visited us today at the studio at 9 days new.

She was 10lb 7oz born and her chunky arms and legs were just adorable to photograph.

Baby Anthony, born weighing 7lb 6.5 visited us today at the studio with his gorgeous mummy and policeman/boxing coach daddy. More of that soon!

He was a stubborn little thing and point blank refused to sleep for the first few hours, looking up at us with his deep, calm eyes. We finally got him off to dreamland though, and ended up with a lovely mix of awake and sleepy shots, with a few family ones for good measure.

Little Mikko visited us at the studio recently, along with his big brother and mummy and daddy.

He was a sweetheart and slept throughout his session, only waking for feeds (every 15 minutes!)

Welcome to the world another little Christmas baby! Sophia, born weighing 6lb 14 oz!

Happy New Year! We hope all of our readers and friends had a relaxing holiday period and are looking forward to the year ahead. We’ve had a wonderful start to the year with four brand new babies already photographed in 2013.

Today was spent with beautiful newborn Cameron and her lovely family at their rural home in Wrexham.

This little lady was ever so laid back, and slept beautifully for us, even giving a few cheeky smiles.

There are tonnes of gorgeous shots from her session, but we know mummy is keen to see a sneak peek – so here she is! 8 days new, 7lb 14 oz baby Cameron!

Gorgeous George was our last newborn of 2012!

The little (big!) man we introduced to you last week via his Sneak Peek was 6 weeks on the day we photographed him. That being said, he slept like a newborn, and was super content and peaceful even when he was awake.

We love his little chunky arms and legs and tummy… and with pale skin and hair, those dark eyes are just stunning! What a handsome little guy.
